The Marão mountain is a superb area of water and stone. The fresco paintings of the hermitage (Sequeiros, Torre de Moncorvo) are contemporaries of Domenikos Theotokópoulos, El Greco. The same lines, the same colours and the same stretching of the bodies which one can observe in many of the doomsday are typical of the Greek’s painter who had moved to Toledo and to his master, Michael Angelo.
