Marx, Engels, women, capitalism, whores and contradictions
Capitalism has grown along the with the Marxist menace, with this convenient lie that is to say that the criticism of capitalism led to the millions of deaths of Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Ceausescu, Pol Pot ... And communism sank by never having denied that guilt, for using the works of Marx (and Engels, and Proudhon) on the mirror mazes and forces, in which the proletarians of both sides are punished...

Communism has sunk, still, with the atheist threat, with the false idea that the only Marxist god is work, that there is nothing short nor beyond it...

Capitalism has also grown with the promise of easy money in exchange for the duties of religion and happiness...

Marxism and capitalism were both — ultimately — betrayed, perhaps by the same frenzy of the bourgeois happiness, perhaps sustained by the same betrayal of God and of women, by the same assumption of power and by the same fear of death...

«Still, my love, (…) I’ve vividly imagined that you had lost your right hand and I was ecstatic (...). You know, my love, it occurred to me that if that should be the case, I would become absolutely vital to you, you’d always keep me beside you and you would love me. I also found that I could write all your magnificent ideas and I would be, in truth, useful.» Jenny Marx, on a letter to Karl, describing a dreamt episode.
Marx loved his wife Jenny, Princess of the halls of Trier, the flashy and intelligent aristocratic, from the Prussian lineage of Baron Ludwig von Westphalen, with whom he lived for nearly forty years until his death («I feel a man again, for I have a great passion...» — quotation from Françoise Giroud’s, 'Jenny, the wife of Karl Marx', ed. Livros do Brasil, Lisbon, 1992). But he could not be faithful to her: it is a known fact he impregnated his house maid.
Surely, he was overwhelmed by the same capitalist «alienation» that in his own words, consists of the «terrible gap between the worker-subject and the product of his labour...», which spreads in several ways to all human activity, causing in the individual a «painful conflict with himself, with others and with nature» (quoted from Leandro Konder, 'Why Marx', chap. Marx and Love, ed. Graal, Rio de Janeiro, 1982).
It is the same alienation, after all, that now binds the capitalists of all countries (the so called neo-liberals), who seek to comfort their fleshes with luxurious prostitutes — the «sex proletarians», that so radically and simultaneously despise the factories punishments, the routine of home and the prohibitions of religion.
At last, contradictions.
____ «Alienation» According to Marx Private property [«Property is theft!» — Proudhon exclaimed], originates a new subjectivity which defines wealth by possessions to the detriment of sensitivity. So, the man who has things will appear rich and not the one whose core business is fraught with sensitive passion. The premonitory Marxist theory on the dissolution of the traditional family ties (not of the typical bourgeois and cloistered Victorian family, which he loathed) is expressed in the first volume of the work 'Das Kapital' (The Capital), 1867, on the chapter The Machinery and Modern Industry: he here expresses horror at the idea of industrialization, which dismisses women from the domestic circle and threatens the desecration of the female condition...
Speaking of contradictions and of the fears of Marx's father (Is it in this inopportune and foolish scholarship atelier that you fulfil your sacred obligations?) and of the «sex proletarians», it is inevitable to remember Marcuse in ‘Eros and Civilization', 1955: the control of the masses is achieved by the excess of work (full time), eliminating on the employees any desire of pleasure and satisfaction; hence, in the capitalist society, true love is impossible — either simply vanishes or is a twisted derivation of the porn industry. For both the upright Herbert Marcuse and Karl Marx, the dilemma of the contemporary world domination is in this abominable fate that wealth is not — by presumption of intelligence (and of power) — equitably distributed among those who produce it. |
